Brendan Director of Engineering and an active Senior Engineer at BeckTV. Brendan was recently made a managing partner with BeckTV. Brendan works with the BeckTV executive team to plan what projects to pursue and what project teams need to be assembled to deliver at the highest standards. As a Senior Engineer Brendan still is engaged with design decisions and will guide all facets of the system integration. Brendan is a project point and takes ownership of the project’s successful outcome. Some of these tasks are to work with the client and develop the design, manage the BeckTV team on a project, develop design documentation, interfacing consistently with the client & project team, coordinate the logistics of project implementation, and fill the many other needs a project takes to be successful. In addition to being the responsible Sr Engineer for multiple concurrent projects, Brendan serves as Director of Engineering and manages the BeckTV engineering staff and company direction. Brendan assigns engineering to projects and has oversight into every project that BeckTV engages in to ensure the quality of each build meets the BeckTV standard. Brendan started at BeckTV in 2014 and has been in the broadcast and AV system integration business for over 20 years. After joining BeckTV, Brendan was quickly elevated to Senior Engineer and then Director of Engineering. During his time with BeckTV, he has had primary responsibility for many large projects. His projects include being the point of contact for managing the many TV station groups and their projects. These groups include Gray Television, Hearst Television, Griffin Media, Sinclair, Fox, Tegna, and independents with a long list of call letter station projects associated with them. Brendan has also pioneered the integration of IP based routing systems starting with the Digital Media Production center at Notre Dame University, an ST-2110 IP facility for NBC News Bureau in Washington, DC producing “Meet the Press”, a hub and spoke “Stream Center” for the Tegna station group, an 8K HFR camera and Evertz Dream Catcher replay system for the San Francisco 49ers, a large scale AES67 radio and TV deployment for KPBS, an ST-2110 production facility for WETA and the “PBS Newshour”, an ST-2110 integration for the Arizona Cardinals at State Frame Stadium, and has participated in consulting and commissioning of many other IP systems.
